Library News…… ‘International Women’s Day 2022’!

This week Library has flung it’s doors open with International Women’s Day in mind. International Women’s Day is a day that celebrates ‘the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women’ whilst also calling for equality – where men and women are treated the same. No one government, country, charity or group is responsible for it and this year’s theme is Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow. With this in mind children will be hearing stories about women who pioneered in paving a more gender equal world. From Beatrix Potter to Mae Jamison, Malala to Wangari, our school Library offers a huge range of children’s biographies that serve to inspire the mighty girls and boys of St Stephens.
