Library News: Windrush Day 22nd June

This week we celebrated books and stories from the Caribbean. The children learnt about the mass migration of workers from all over the English-speaking Caribbean who came to settle in Britain between 1948 and the 1960’s. We discussed how exciting and perhaps scary the journey on the Empire Windrush must have been and we reflected on how wonderful it is to be part of such a multicultural 21st Century Britain.
