A Friday Night Round-up!
Dear Parents/ Carers,
Here I am fresh from my theatrical triumph of my re-enactment of that classic scene from When Harry met Sally – I know it was Oscar winning material but as I said to Benedict Cumberbatch ‘it’s all about the motivation darling’. Thank you to everybody who joined us for the evening – it was amazing and a massive thank you to Jamie, Justine and Louise for organising such a terrific evening – all completely natural quiz masters and Justine, nearly there!
As the quiz sheets are packed away we look forward to the next event but I thought maybe a little video would help wet your whistle https://youtu.be/ljpferss1O0 – save the date 19th November and we can even look after the children, as it’s Movie Night, allowing you a cheeky sip of wine! Place your orders via Parentmail please.
There is a prize for the best French themed photograph of the evening – please email them to me by Monday 23rd November.
Thank you for joining us for Parent’s Evening, which I must say were incredibly efficient! Though towards the end, as the timer kicked in, it was rather like being on an episode of Countdown! At times, I rather missed Mr Perry chatting away till 7.30 and the opportunity to catch up with parents but the general consensus from parents was it was a success.
I have had the best few weeks covering Year 1 for Mrs Foster, who returns on Monday, and have loved every minute of it. They are a wonderful class and it was a pleasure to step in and host Parent’s Evening and meet with the parents this week. I loved our discussions on Henry VIII and Max Charlton triumphantly reciting all of his wives, in the correct order, one morning! Though explaining why he chopped their heads off was a little challenging to 30 six year olds but it’s always best to challenge your superb children.
Have a terrific weekend and see you on Monday.
Mr Schumm
