An Important Message from Mr. Schumm
I hope you had a good Christmas and sorry to interrupt your festivities but I thought it best to quickly update our community on the new government guidance.Following the announcement today from the Education Secretary that schools within areas where infection rates are highest will remain closed until at least January 18th and only open to vulnerable children and children of critical workers, I am writing to inform you that schools within Hammersmith and Fulham are included within this category. This means that St Stephen’s will remain closed for the next two weeks.
I have enclosed the link from the DfE with their guidance on vulnerable children and critical worker status https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision
If your child is eligible to attend school under the given guidance please email me head@ststephensce.lbhf.sch.uk
I will send out more information in the coming days and the teachers will be in touch on Monday outlining the online learning and zoom lessons for the following week.
The light is at the end of the tunnel and, hopefully by Spring, we shall see some semblance of normality but for now I will crank up the old Zoom, find a new book to read online, dig up a TikTok and live stream the next two weeks away!
Have a great New Year and let’s put our best foot forward and get the job done!
Best wishes,
Mr Schumm
