Children’s Mental Health Week 2021
Dear Parents/Carers,
This week is ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’ and the theme this year is ‘Express Yourself’. Our children regularly discuss, learn about and reflect on their own mental health in our weekly Relationships and Health Education (RHE) sessions. This is another opportunity for children to learn about and understand their emotions – something which we prioritise everyday at St. Stephen’s. This week, our teachers will be discussing and setting relevant tasks (stories, writing, art, meditation) about this topic at an age appropriate level in order to help prepare children for the wider world. This will of course compliment the learning done in our RHE sessions. Mental Health is such an important topic everyday but in the current circumstances we may need more help than we usually would.
