Harry Potter Night
This week we have been reading books about ‘wizarding’ in honour of Harry Potter Night on 6th February. Harry Potter- this publishing phenomenon is a fantasy book series about the young wizard Harry and his struggle against the dark Lord Voldemort. A fantasy, drama, school story, mystery, adventure and thriller rolled into 7 books, and published across 7 school years. The tale gets darker and more deathly as the series progresses. Lucky London children start by reading the books, then visit Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station, and save up for a trip to the truly magical Warner Bros Studio!!
In library sessions we talked about the ‘wizarding world’ genre and each class enjoyed an age suitable wizarding story. Y4, Y5 & Y6 embarked on a Harry Potter Quiz where Y5M received full marks helped only by our in house Harry Potter expert, Miss Mahon!
