Library News: Windrush Day 75th Anniversary

This week we are celebrating books and stories from the Caribbean in honour of the 75th anniversary of the Windrush. The children will learn about the mass migration of workers from all over the English-speaking Caribbean who came to settle in Britain between 1948 and the 1960’s. We will discuss how exciting and perhaps scary the journey on the Empire Windrush must have been as well as reflect upon how wonderful it is to be part of such a multicultural 21st Century Britain.
