At St. Stephen’s we expect all children to wear uniform.  Please ensure that all clothing is clearly marked with your child’s name.

School Uniform available from a High Street Shop

• White, long sleeved, collared shirt
• Trousers/skirt: grey school style trousers, skirts or pinafore dress
• Black, white or grey socks or tights
• Shoes: plain black shoes – black lace up plimsolls are not the schools definition of black school shoes. It is important that children are wearing the correct sturdy footwear for school to support their feet
• Plain plimsolls or training shoes should be worn for all PE lessons where footwear is required

The Friends of St Stephen’s hold regular second hand uniform sales. The sales enable parents to
buy branded items of the uniform and other items of uniform at a significantly low cost. These sales
are held on the first Wednesday of every month at the school.

 

Hair, Jewellery & PE

Hair must be neat and tidy (plaited or in a pony-tail if long).  Hair ties should be black, blue or white only. Extreme hair colours or styles that undermine the ethos of the school are not permitted. No make-up, nail polish or football strips must not be worn.  All jewellery must be removed for PE or please avoid wearing any jewellery to school on PE days.
